Dr. Pauzi is a professor in power and energy systems at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and the Director of the Institute of Future Energy (IFE), UTM. He earned his B.Eng. from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in 2002 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom in 2004 and 2008, respectively. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng, UK), Professional Engineer (PEng, BEM), Corporate Member of IEM, and Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Dr. Pauzi is highly active in professional societies, having served as Chair of the IEEE Malaysia Section (2021–2023) and Chair of the IEEE Power & Energy Society Malaysia Chapter (2017–2019), and he remains a member of the Chapter’s Advisory Committee. His research focuses on power and energy systems, particularly renewable energy integration, power systems optimization, and intelligent energy management.
